Material Control, Inc. Statement On Coronavirus (COVID-19) – April 17, 2020
Manufacturing Resumes – April 20, 2020
At Material Control Inc., we are monitoring the evolving situation with the Coronavirus (COVID-19) and its potential impact on our business operations and those of our customers and suppliers.
Our focus is the health and safety of our employees – this is paramount. We are also very concerned with the well-being of the communities in which we operate and that of our customers and suppliers and their employees.
We operate a manufacturing plant in Michigan.
Effective Monday April 20, we began a soft re-start of manufacturing at our plant after completing risk mitigation measures to ensure our employees’ safety. Our goal is to return to full capacity in the coming days as quickly as possible while continuing to implement further risk mitigation and allowing our employees to become accustomed to the new work habits required to prevent the spread of COVID-19. Our Sales, Customer Service and Administrative staff remain on remote work assignment. The soft re-start and continuation of work-at-home are necessary to protect our workforce, our families and the communities in which we live and operate.
Our manufacturing operations comply with the COVID-19 executive orders in the jurisdictions in which we operate.
If you need conveyor controls, level controls, motion controls, belt cleaners, aerators or any of other products in order to continue your critical operations, please continue to place orders through your normal means. Your sales or customer representative will confirm receipt of your order and provide guidance on expected shipment. In the coming days, as we move through our soft start, lead times will return to normal. We will continue to prioritize orders for the most critical health, public safety and life sustaining purposes. Please contact sales or customer representative if you any questions, concerns or issues regarding open orders or orders you wish to place.
Thank you in advance for your support in this time of National Public Health Emergency. We are fortunate that our company is financially strong and able to resume manufacturing in a measured and responsible manner. We strongly believe that our course of action is best for our employees, our customers, our suppliers and our communities and the nation.
To all those with whom we do business and who live in our communities: We hope you are safe and that you take all necessary precautions to prevent acquiring or spreading COVID-19.
